Demonstration & Teaching Farm

Conservation agriculture maize and legumes

Red Knot Development assists smallholder farmers by helping them better understand the agricultural science which underlies their successes. This allows farmers to apply knowledge to their own specific contexts in creative ways.

Stingless Bees in Tanzania

Rather than prescribing specific agricultural systems or promoting one-size-fits-all projects, we then offer a basket of options from which farmers can select what can be useful for their own purposes.

Red Knot Development is responsible for the creation and running of a permaculture farm and learning space in Arusha, Tanzania.

Tilapia Pond and Fish Farming Tanzania

This farm is where we demonstrate and teach agricultural systems and techniques to farmers: conservation agriculture, organic vegetable production, fish farming, stingless bees care, poultry raising, composting, integrated pest management, and more.

$20 provides one farmer with a 2-day agricultural training.
