Races for Good

This is a new idea and a draft model for funding youth development in Tanzania.

Race directors want to connect their events to a cause — but it’s hard to find one that aligns, knows the industry, and doesn’t create extra work.

Most nonprofits lack the imagination or systems to make this easy.

That’s where we come in.

Tanzanian cycling team road riding

Red Knot organizes children’s running clubs and youth cycling programs in Tanzania that promote fitness, health, and belonging while teaching children valuable life skills for the future.

We design races that connect adventure, tourism, and social good.

And now we’re exploring how race directors like you can join our story.

Link your race with Red Knot, and we’ll handle the rest.

We’ll send ready-to-use assets, so you can highlight impact without adding extra work:

  • Digital storytelling content — photos, blurbs, runner impact lines, and pre-written messaging for your website, social media, and newsletters

  • Printable materials — posters, check-in signage, and small cards for race packets or swag bags

  • Co-branding elements — logo files and partnership badges

  • Post-race content — templates for thank-you emails and social posts to celebrate your athletes’ impact

Every dollar we raise provides children training, coaching, and community through run and cycle clubs — building confidence, discipline, and opportunity.

This is sport creating lasting change.

How It Works

  1. Register through our partnership portal, and your race joins the official list of Red Knot partners.

  2. Choose your per-athlete donation. We suggest a minimum of $2 per entrant.

  3. We provide everything you need: storytelling content, digital assets for web or print, and optional physical materials.

  4. It’s up to you how you advertise your involvement, though we’ll provide ideas and tools to make it happen.

  5. After the race, send your total donation to our 501(c)(3).

You get to show your runners exactly what their participation makes possible — no extra admin, no heavy lifting.
